Welcome to the Alaska Cross Content Conference program!  We will not have a print program available.  This program is a planner for you and does not guarantee you a seat in a session.

Please note that things will be changing daily.  Field trips are being finalized. Sessions are still coming in...so stay tuned and watch for changes - the beauty & the beast with technology.

This is a model of how educators and scientists can work together to help students localize global issues of climate change. Within the model classroom activities, students are presented with questions that ask them to think about predicted local impacts to their ecosystem and resources. They are presented with an experiment designed by scientists to help predict future impacts of climate change on bird habitats. Data from the research project is shared with students and they are asked to collect and analyze their own data as well. Students are also encouraged to participate in follow-up citizen based science data collection.
