Creating Spaces for Active and Engaged Reading Across the Content Areas

This hands on session will allow teachers to work through a series of instructional routines that can support students' disciplinary literacies with a variety of texts. Participants will walk away with a variety of instructional routines and ideas.

Lisa Richardson

Associate Professor--Coordinator of the UAS Reading Specialist Program, University of Alaska Southeast

Lisa has taught grades 6-12 for 15 years, and at the university level for 9 years. She has coordinated professional learning experiences for teachers across the nation and within the state of Alaska.
